WFI is proud to announce that their scripted comedy, Matter of Time, supported by the Indigenous Screen Office, in conjunction with APTN and CBC has been selected to pitch at the Indigenous Screen Summit at this year’s Banff World Media Fest.

Matter of Time is a scripted comedy series about a Métis buffalo hunter who is ripped away from his home in the 1885 Métis Nation, and sent more than a century into the future to present-day Manitoba. His only hope to returning to his original time lies with his only living ancestor; a 19 year old, closeted university student. Only by working together will our brave hunter have a shot at making it back to his homeland.

Matter of Time will be formally pitched by Jérémie Wookey. The series is being developed with co-writer and co-creator Casey Gibb under the guidance of veteran comedy writers JP Larocque (Sort Of, Jann, Gay Nerds) and Chris Schleicher (Mindy Project, Never Have I Ever). WFI is proud to have been selected alongside fourteen Indigenous creators, bringing new and exciting ideas forward in documentary and scripted formats.
