WFI AWARDED TELEFILM PRODUCTION FUND FOR FIRST SCRIPTED FEATURE

It is with gratitude and pride that WFI announces the successful application to the Telefilm Production Fund to initiate production on a company first; a feature length scripted comedy.

Denise sans Denis
will involve collaboration with francophone creatives across numerous provinces. Written by proud Franco-Ontarien Paul Ruban, with Guillaume Lambert (Niagara, L’âge adulte) slated to direct. WFI is thrilled to be partnering with Montreal’s Chasseurs Films to create this feature and bring francophone talent beyond the borders of Quebec and onto the big screen.

This project would not have been possible without the generous support of l’Association des producteurs francophones du Canada, who supported the development of Paul’s script immensely via the ÉLAN program. Denise sans Denis is a representation of the collective effort of Canada’s francophone film community, and the WFI team is thrilled to get started on this incredible project.

Full financing for Denise sans Denis is still pending, so stay tuned for exciting updates on this project.
