WFI PITCHES SCRIPTED COMEDY AT BANFF'S INDIGENOUS SCREEN SUMMIT

Congratulations to Jérémie on his incredible pitch at this year's Indigenous Screen Summit on opening day of the Banff World Media Fest. The pitch was made to a panel of industry buyers in front of a packed room at the Banff Fairmont Springs on day 1 of Banff WMF. Special thanks to the Indigenous Screen Office, APTN and CBC Comedy for suporting this project and to JP Larocque (Sort Of, Jann) and Chris Schleicher (The Mindy Project) for their invaluable contributions. Matter of Time is co-created by Jeremie Wookey and Wookey Films' Head of Development, Casey Gibb. The series follows Paul, a 19 year-old closeted man who is visited by his time-travelling, buffalo-hunting Métis ancestor, Maurice. The pitch was extremely well-received and successful in garnering interest for a further round of development. Stay tuned!...
