'LE THÉÂTRE DE L'HISTOIRE', ONE-OFF DOC WRITTEN AND PRODUCED BY WOOKEY FILMS PREMIERES ON RADIO-CANADA

Wookey Films’ one-off documentary, ‘Le théâtre de l’histoire’ will premiere nationally on Radio-Canada this Saturday, October 1st. The film, which is directed by Soleil Launière and Emilie Porry of Montreal, follows a group of Indigenous and non-Indigenous high school students as they embark on a months long, theatre-based workshop intended to decolonize their understanding of history. In the end, the group writes and performs a play in Michif (the film features 20% original Méchif language content) .

The film will air nationally on October 1st and on ICI ARTV in prime time on Monday October 14th. It is written by Janelle and Jérémie Wookey, was shot by Wookey’s Jesse de Rocquigny and PM’d and lead edited also by Wookey’s Denise Darling.
