WOOKEY TAKES PART IN APTN'S 2022 INDIGENOUS DAY LIVE BROADCAST

Indigenous Day Live 2022 was another resounding success this year. Wookey Films has been a part of IDL in one capacity or another since 2017, and this year was no exception as the Wookey team produced 5 short vignettes featuring amazing, female, Indigenous artists from across the country!

Taqralik Partridge is a writer, spoken word poet, curator, and so much more, originally from Kuujjuaq, Nunavut now living in Ottawa.

Marie-Josée Dandeneau is a multi-instrumentalist known primarily for her incredible bass playing. She has played with Buffy Saint-Marie, Xavier Rudd, Crystal Shawanda, Don Amero and many more. She lives in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Laura Grizzlypaws is a dancer, drummer, singer/songwriter, educator and a language and cultural advocate. She is from Lillooet, British Columbia and is of St’át’imc decent.

Natalie Sappier is a multidisciplinary visual artist and performer from Tobique First Nation in New Brunswick.

BethAnn McIvor is a traditional bead artist and makeup artist from Winnipeg, Manitoba.
