WFI ATTENDS 2023 CANADIAN SCREEN AWARDS AS NOMINEES FOR MÉTIS HISTORY PIECE

The Wookey Films team was extremely honoured and proud to attend the 2023 Canadian Screen Awards in Toronto on April 11th in Toronto as nominees for their piece ‘A Nation and Her Mother’ which was up for Best News or Information Segment. Alongside Jérémie and Janelle were Wookey Films employees, Denise Darling who played a key role in developing the treatment and animations and oversaw production and Casey Gibb who oversaw research and script outline.

Janelle and Jérémie wish to congratulate the award’s winners, the team at CBC’s W5 for their breathtaking piece on the Humbolt tragedy as well as all of their fellow esteemed nominees for creating such incredible work.
