SYNOPSIS
In the world of classical dancing, prima ballerinas are often put center stage…but what about their male counterparts? The documentary “Les boys du ballet” delves into the lives of three boys who have from a young age sacrificed their bodies and souls for ballet. Logan, Michel, and Phillipe are all dancers at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, one of the oldest and most prestigious dance companies in North America. From exhausting classes to breathtaking on-stage performances, “Les boys do ballet” takes the viewer into the daily lives of these dancers, who, every day, have to prove that they deserve their spot. Through their success’ and failures, these same dancers show that they have the talent and courage required for their art. “Les boys du ballet” ultimately shows the physical strength, determination and mental discipline required to become a ballet dancer.
